Citrus Trees generally are fairly tolerant of wide ranging conditions and climates. Particular species or varieties will perform better in some regions than others. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule, we do tend to generalise and categorise our garden into the specific region that we live in. If we overlook the “micro climates” that can exist in our gardens or be created, we limit the opportunities to grow a special citrus that we have wanted to try. Even if you live in a cold and frosty region you may easily be able to find an area near the house or on the north side of a brick wall that could just be the most heavenly spot for your citrus.
